Birds of Cuba

There are six types of herons seen in Cuba. The Great Blue Heron is the most abundant and widespread. From the smallest Green Heron to the night-herons, the more commonly found Yellow-crowned Night-Heron and the Black-crowned Night-Heron. Also seen are the Tricolored Heron, which was once known as the Louisiana Heron, and the Little Blue Heron. All these birds can be fairly easy to find in the waterways and wetlands of the Cuban island.
