This Birds of Cuba website has photos and range maps on nearly 400 birds, that have been seen on the island and surrounding waters of Cuba. Included among these birds, are the 23 endemic species seen only in Cuba. As well as pictures and data describing birds that have been seen in Cuba. These will include resident, migrants, vagrants and introduced species and some exotic birds.
With a few noted exceptions, extinct species were photographed in museums and archives, some are from care centres and some exotics in captivity. All other birds were found in their natural habitat.
All the bird species names are listed alphabetically by family, including bullfinches, flycatchers, grassquits, waders, owls, warblers and waterfowl to name a few.
