The Great Shearwater has just recently had its name changed from the Greater Shearwater. It is one of the largest shearwaters seen. This seabird is identified by its black-coloured upper plumage, white underside and black-capped head showing a white collar. It is seen mostly in the Atlantic Ocean. This shearwater has been reported off the the shores of Cuba.
