The Red Phalarope is the second largest in the phalarope family. This shorebird breeds in the far arctic, next to the Arctic Ocean. During
the winter months, they gather up in large numbers and are seen far out in the southern parts of Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It has been seen as a vagrant in Cuba.
